APPLICATION PROCEDURES AND PROGRAM RULES

1. Scholarships will be awarded in the amount of $1000.00 for full-time students.

Part-time awards will be pro-rated by the number of hours scheduled.

Full-time is a minimum of 12 semester hours or 18 quarter hours.

Part-time is a minimum of 6 semester hours or 9 quarter hours.

ALL HOURS MUST BE FOR CREDIT. NON-CREDIT HOURS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED (ie. Courses for Audit).


2. A minimum GPA of 2.8 is required before an application may be considered.

 

3. The number of scholarships available each year will be determined by available funds.

 

4. Applicants MUST be United States citizens and be residents of the state of Georgia.

 

5. All scholarships granted will be for undergraduate studies in accredited schools in Georgia.

 

6. All applications will be rated on the basis of demonstrated merit (merit will be evaluated from transcript data and activities described on the application). It is the student's responsibility to substantiate the need for support. An essential item in evaluating need is the Financial Information Form, (which follows in the next linked pages). In addition to submitting the Financial Information Form, the applicant should advise our committee of special conditions that might effect need (and perhaps grades), such as death, divorce, illness, financial disasters, etc.

 

7. Students who currently hold scholarships are eligible to apply for continuing support if they still require at least 2 semesters or 3 quarters of full time school.

 

8. Transcipts submitted must be official and certified by the school. NO other documentation concerning grades will be accepted.
